This is my third large cutting mat for tank models purchased from Tankraft - and what a great product it is!
The first mat has taken a beating, and there is no sign of it ‘throwing in the towel’. You’d never know there have been hundreds of cuts made on the mat.
If you are looking for a cutting mat, don’t waste your time on those of lesser quality. Tankraft has nailed it.

Love the design yet not impressed with how lightly the ink was printed onto the mats. With only a little life color thinner the ink here on the mat ran. For what I paid per each mat this does not please me. Again love the design yet the design not well set or printed onto the mat thus I would not purchase another. As is I bought three mats, the panther, Sherman and tiger. I wish they were made a bit better. As is I will not recommend them, not for the asking price as for that amount I expect better quality.

This mat covers my work space perfectly and has a beautiful schematic of a panther tank on it adding some aesthetics to a plain table. As an Engineer, this mat provides the functionality I need for cutting and keeping a clean workspace as well as provide a nice backdrop for workbench photos. Absolutely love it!

I love these mats so much I just purchased my second one. Since I’m building a jagdpanther I figure it is fitting to have a panther mat! (Close enough for me) I have the Sherman one also and I love it. I spilled debonder on it though. Still works for my flank. They are high quality, packaged perfectly (not rolled) and shipped quickly.

Model building, mainly tanks, is my hobby since > 50 years. So why not do just that on a well made, sturdy, extra large (I bought the 18x24 size) and extremely cool looking Tankraft cutting mat? If I ever get into extended strip cutting sessions I might turn it over to protect the nice Panther plan views from damage - other than printed vs. blank, the top and bottom layers are the identical self-healing surfaces. The dark grey color is still contrasting to the typically more light grey styrene, so tiny parts do not get out of sight on the surface easily.
A welcome addition to a dedicated work bench setup!

This mat showed up in a flat package so was not rolled up, definitely impressed with the packaging. As for the mat itself, quality looks to be top notch. I know you're supposed to cut on it, I'm finding it hard to do because it looks so good.... :) It was also a hard decision between the panther and tiger mats, my table isn't big enough for both or I would have just done that.

The only thing wrong is that it's TOO good looking. I'm afraid of messing it up! When a project is done and all the paint, brushes, tools, glue etc. are put away my desk looks awesome. Makes me look so professional!

I got the biggest mats I could, the Sherman and Panther and they are awesome. When you cut into them, they self heal and they are easy to clean up. Makes your desk top look more like the top you want and it is cool to make one side Axis and the other Allies even though I work on both at the same time from all historical and fantasy periods.

The mat itself is cool, but the ink on the Panther tank is coming off! From the pic you can see it plain as day! I'm not happy about that a bit. This is what makes the mat stand out from the rest! So I'm going to say not real satisfied with the quality.

Extremely happy with this mat! Everything I wanted in a hobby mat, size, utility, and surface. The tank graphic is an extra flare that makes me feel immersed every time I sit down at my hobby bench. Defiantly glad I found this before buying a generic cutting mat.
Haha my only complaint is that it's so nice I feel guilty when I mar it! Would definitely buy this mat again, and hopefully when I'm ready for a replacement down the road, they will offer it with a Tiger tank as well... wink wink hint hint ;-)

That said, we are under various customer NDAs that prevent us from giving too much details and/or suppling pictures. In short, I purchased these mats as cutting / assembling boards for a couple of work stations. I must say, they are GREAT! Seriously cool mat and perfect for those Panzer projects. The quality of the mat is thick, durable and very well made. My old craft store mat is much thinner and has a tendency to curl on the edges and not lay perfectly flat. This mat is heavy duty, not even close to those cheaper mats. This mat is built like a tank!
